Despite the intense demands and pressures of law school, the College of Law once again participates in the 2024 Centralian Fest. Often dubbed as “law school is a jealous mistress,” for it demands unwavering dedication from its students, who must devote significant time and effort to comprehend the intricacies of the law, jurisprudence, and legal annotations within the Philippine Judicial System. Nonetheless, this rigorous academic pursuit has not deterred law students from showcasing their talents and skills at the 2024 Centralian Fest, particularly in the realm of sports.
During an interview with Ms. Erika Draper, a graduating law student and member of the CPU College of Law women’s football team, she emphasized that the courtroom is not their sole battleground. She highlighted that they also compete on the green grass of the CPU, suggesting that their challenges extend beyond legal proceedings to the athletic arena.
Ms. Erika Draper further emphasized that sports serve as just one method of alleviating the stress encountered while battling the challenges of law school. She noted that physical activity not only provides a respite from academic pressures but also enhances mental acuity. According to her, the more one exercises and moves their body, the sharper their mind becomes, aiding in the conquest of the formidable tasks encountered in legal education.
The current scoreboard reveals that CPU College of Law has achieved a score of 370, slightly surpassing their performance in the 2023 Centralian Fest. This improvement underscores the significance of faith, grit, and determination in the pursuit of excellence. It serves as a testament to the notion that with perseverance and resilience, the pathway to enhancement remains accessible. Like a door awaiting exploration, all it takes is the right amount of force to turn the knob and unveil the opportunities that lie beyond.
