In his Baccalaureate message, Rev. Dr. Pagara emphasized living a life of integrity for God and for His kingdom.
Central Philippine University began its 92nd Commencement Celebrations with a Baccalaureate Service for the graduating students and their families on the morning of November 10, 2019, at the Rose Memorial Auditorium.
Vice President for Finance and Administration Dr. Florence P. Bogacia, offered a welcome to the students.
“As you celebrate this special day, may you also be reminded that as you go out of Central may you bring with you the values of faith, character, justice, stewardship, and excellence. Do not only bring them with you but live them out in your daily affairs,” Bogacia said.
The graduates were addressed by the Dean of the CPU College of Theology, Rev. Dr. Bernabe Pagara. He talked about the “Summum Bonum of Life” or the principle of goodness in which all moral values are included or from which they are derived.
“Graduates, when you find your work or job after CPU, the truth of Christ will be adorned and bridges will be built for the Gospel, not for money, not for gain, not for recognition, but finding a quiet life for God and for His kingdom,” Pagara said.
Graeme Ross Parreno, BMLS, cum laude gave a reflection on behalf of graduates.
The service was followed by the Commencement Exercises which was held at the Rose Memorial Auditorium.
