The College of Computer Studies team proudly poses for a photo after their film “Ang Pulong sang Mga Baboy” wins Best Film at the 2025 Sigrab Film Festival.

On April 22, 2025, the College of Computer Studies’ official film entry for this year’s SIGRAB Film Festival clinched the Best Short Film title during the Awards Night ceremony held at the Rose Memorial Auditorium.

In addition to winning the top honor, “Ang Pulong sang mga Baboy” was nominated in seven categories and won four. Rio John Elenterio, the film’s director, received the Best Director award, while Christian Vego, the assistant director and screenplay writer, was awarded Best in Screenplay. The film also earned Best in Production Design, thanks to Production Manager Johnuel Manalang, Head Production Designer Aron Sebongga, and Production Designers Neljhan Getia-Ayon, Kevin Rendell Amolar, Lea Mae Martirizar, Keith James Diasnes, and Clannel Sevilliana.

The official soundtrack, “Ampal ng Kalooban,” composed by Zenadine Zidane Pablo, with vocals by JC Gil Balicao and guitar by Ritchie Conrad Hoo, won Best in OST.

The film was also nominated for Best Supporting Actor (Jesse Jot Auman), Best Actress (Sky Coolen Dela Cruz), and Best in Editing.

The short film presents a dystopian tale: “…in a school where obedience is sacred and questions are sins, one student dares to seek the truth. Yet curiosity is never free, and the cost may be more than she can bear. With each step she takes, the swine closes in, weaving her fate into the fabric of a ruthless order.”

Congratulations to all the cast and crew of “Ang Pulong sang mga Baboy!” The CCS community is proud of you.
