Ambassador Leo Tito L. Ausan, Jr. handing to CPU President Rev. Dr. Ernest Howard B. Dagohoy his own book entitled “Sleepless in Dhaka & Other Poems.”

The Philippine Ambassador to Bangladesh, Atty. Leo Tito L. Ausan, Jr., visited his alma mater, Central Philippine University on April 5, 2024. Ambassador Ausan paid a courtesy call to the CPU President, Rev. Dr. Ernest Howard B. Dagohoy at the President’s Conference Room.

Centralian Alumnus, Atty. Leo Tito Lunar Ausan, Jr., is a graduate of AB Political Science, Cum Laude in 1983. He was elected as Vice President of the CPU Republic from 1982 to 1983, when the said republic was revived after martial law. He also served as the President of the Political Science Students Organization from 1981 to 1982.

For the welcome remarks, CPU President Rev. Dr. Ernest Howard B. Dagohoy extended his words of welcome and appreciation to Ambassador Ausan. He recalled their student republic days together at Central Philippine University and their memories as charter members of the UPV’s Teatro Amakan. “Your alma mater welcomes you back! We are honored by your presence as the first alumnus of the Central Philippine University to become an ambassador,” Dr. Dagohoy added.

In Ambassador Ausan’s response, he shared that he felt emotional about the warm welcome he received during his visit. Seeing the LED screen that warmly welcomed him, he felt happy as the Centralian community prepared for this event. “Thank you very much for creating me the man that I am. They’re all Central; I returned it to you this morning,” he said after he handed a copy of his book to Dr. Dagohoy. Ambassador Ausan will be launching his own book entitled “Sleepless in Dhaka & Other Poems” this upcoming 22nd day of April.

Atty. Leo Tito L. Ausan, Jr., the first Centralian Ambassador, is a testament to the university’s continued legacy of nurturing and producing outstanding individuals who make significant contributions to their respective fields.
