The administrators, faculty, students, and parents warmly welcomed Dr. Aries Roda D. Romallosa, Acting Vice President for Research, Development and Extension, and selected outreach coordinators during her visit to Iloilo River Plains Integrated School in Brgy. Lanit, Jaro.

September 30, 2025 (Tuesday), the Vice President for Research, Development, and Extension, Dr. Aries Roda D. Romallosa, together with selected outreach coordinators, visited adopted barangays and schools in Jaro District. This initiative of the Acting VPRDE is to strengthen the partnerships, collaborations, and cooperation between the University and them.

The Acting VPRDE and selected outreach coordinators met with captains and school principals; this is a way to determine the challenges and expected developments desired by the barangays and schools. They also shared their feedback, satisfaction, and suggestions with our extension personnel regarding the previous outreach activities they received, which will be beneficial for future engagements.

The visited barangays are Brgy. Biro-on, Brgy. Tabuc Suba, Brgy. San Isidro and Brgy. Lanit. Meanwhile, the adopted schools visited are Bito-on Elementary School, Judith Lazarraga Tiongco Memorial Elementary School, Uswag San Isidro Elementary School, Tiu Cho Teg- Ana Ros Foundation Integrated Farm School, and Iloilo Riverplains Integrated School.

This activity is a way to meet the new principals appointed to our newly adopted schools. On the other hand, the newly appointed outreach coordinators from different colleges can familiarize themselves with the adopted schools and barangays of the University.

The event concluded with the selected adopted schools preparing a simple banquet and ceremony for our Acting VPRDE and selected outreach coordinators.
