Centralian Artist Lucell Larawan.
Lucell Larawan, painter, writer, teacher, and acclaimed International Filipino artist, is a former CPU Faculty. He left a number of his artworks inside some CPU offices. Larawan has received prestigious recognition for his work. He secured two finalist awards at the International Artist Grand Prize Championship (Art Revolution Taipei) in Taiwan and earned semi-finalist accolades at the national Metrobank Art and Design Excellence recently.
Larawan has held seven solo exhibits at various museums and galleries of the Philippines, with his latest solo show supported by a grant from the NCCA Gallery program. He has participated in group shows in Taiwan and the Philippines, while also contributing to art festivals as a trainer, curator, and hosting partner.
His works have been reviewed by the Al-tiba9 a contemporary international magazine, regional newspapers, and a high school book. Larawan’s scholarly articles on art criticism and business have been published in international and local peer-reviewed journals, supported by universities and a grant from the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA).

Among his collectors are Senator Francis Escudero and former governor Erico Boyles Aumentado. Larawan has countless art on canvas that has been featured in several reviews, magazine publications and local newspaper like Panay News.
He has volumes of Solo Exhibit Grant by the NCCA (National Commission For Culture and the Arts) Gallery Program. He was finalist in the February 2023 and in 2019 International Artist Grand Prize Championship, Art Revolution in Taipei. He was declared Finalist in the 2020 International Artist Grand Prize Championship, 2008 Semi-finalist, national Metrobank Art and Design for Excellence (MADE) 2008, sculpture category, Manila, awarded by Metrobank Foundation. He was a Semi-finalist in the national Metrobank Art and Design for Excellence (MADE) 2006, sculpture category in Manila, awarded by Metrobank Foundation with is Entry title: “Moses, Aaron and Hur before the Amalekites”.
Larawan finished his Master of Management Specialized in Public Management, University of the Philippines in the Visayas, Iloilo City, 2000 He finished his BS Management from the University of the Philippines in the Visayas, Iloilo City in 1996. He earned Doctoral units from Central Philippine University School of Graduate Studies.
Larawan is currently, the chairman of the Committee on Visual Arts for the Bohol Art and Cultural Heritage council.
