A lovely and fun day to remember with Centralian family and friends.
A Centralian bond – On September 9, 2023, the CPU Alumni Association of Greater Toronto Area (CPUAAGTA) met together at Centennial Park, Etobicoke, Ontario, Canada for their 2023 Annual Picnic. There were about 80 attendees hailing from Toronto and the other adjoining cities.
Rod Gonzales, member CPUAAGTA Board of Advisers, led the programme and the devotional time with the message centered on the importance of meeting together. Norma Van Dusen, CPUAAGTA Board of Directors, and Rodney Gicana, CPUAAGTA Vice President welcomed the attendees and introduced the newcomers.
There was a very lively community singing and special song numbers were rendered by Lisha Gicana and Dion Flores. The Bahandi singers also sang a medley of Ilonggo folk songs.
The potluck lunch was enjoyed by everyone as favorite dishes were shared. There was a sumptuous Filipino menu with of course the classic lechon!
After lunch, Rod Gonzales and Edwin Frank Arroz, members Board of Advisers were the game masters with a lot of prizes donated by the members. One of the games is a trivia about CPU.
We thank the Lord for allowing us to meet, fellowship, and enjoy the warmth of the summer sun before the cold Canadian winter comes again.
