CPU JHS Batch 1957, represented by Antonio B. Cocjin (center), turns over their support for CPU work students through the Work Student Meal Subsidy Program, received by Prof. Annalie D. Gilongos (right), Work Student Study Program Coordinator.
Behind every hardworking CPU work student is a story of perseverance—balancing studies with work assignments and pushing through daily challenges with hope for a better future. This journey has been made a little lighter, a little brighter, because of the generosity of CPU Junior High School Batch 1957.
Through their heartfelt donation, Batch 1957 has made possible the Work Student Meal Subsidy Program. More than just providing meals, this program gives our work students the energy to study, the strength to serve, and the comfort of knowing that someone believes in them.
For our student-beneficiaries, every meal is a reminder that they are part of a community that cares. One work student shared, “This subsidy eases my worries every day. It helps me focus on my studies because I know I won’t go hungry. It means so much to know that alumni who came before us still remember and support us.”
Beneficiaries of the Work Student Meal Subsidy Program pose for a group photo with Prof. Annalie D. Gilongos, Work Student Study Program Coordinator, and Mrs. Leonance E. Cataluña, Secretary.
CPU JHS Batch 1957 has shown that true generosity is timeless. Their gift is not only nourishment for the body, but also encouragement for the spirit—a legacy of compassion that continues to inspire and transform lives.
Thank you, Batch 1957, for walking with our work students in their journey. Your kindness is proof that once a Centralian, always a Centralian.
