Joan J. Rasberry.
It has been over five years since Centralian Joan Junsan (now Mrs. Rasberry), left to work with her husband Dr. Charles Rasberry, in the United States. Her first job was Web Administrator at the Oasis for Life in Albany, Oregon.
She was last employed at Central Philippine University as Web Administrator, CPU Office of Communications from August 2009 to March 2015. She was also assigned at the CPU Computer Service Center as Internet Service Assistant; and at AMA Computer Learning Center, Iloilo City as Librarian, Instructor and Microsoft Office Specialist. She was a Project Officer at TSKI, Iloilo.
Ma’am Jo, as she is known in CPU is an achiever, a patient, hard-working employee, and a Sunday School teacher. Owing to her perseverance and determination, she succeeded in finishing her Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from CPU in 2000 thru the University’s Work-Study program. At that time she was also supporting her siblings in their studies.
She took up Units in Master of Library Science from CPU; attended seminars and engaged in participating or speaking at training-seminars and workshops in the University and abroad.
This 2021, God rewarded Joan J. Rasberry with another notable achievement: the degree of Master of Arts in Clinical Christian Counseling (Summa Cum Laude), from the Colorado Theological Seminary under the auspices of the National Christian Counselors Association.
She is now a Licensed Clinical Counselor at The Oasis for Life in Florida, and continues with her God-given skills, helping and ministering to the children and the poor. With her husband Charles, her Oasis for Life Mission has been extending support to the poor children in the Philippines. They particularly continue to distribute gifts to the children in Mandurriao, Iloilo City through the Oasis for Life ministry.
