Central Philippine University (CPU) has once again produced passers above the national passing mark for the Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering Board Exam administered by the Professional Regulation Commission. In the November 2019 Board Exam, CPU got a 75% passing percentage for first takers while the overall passing percentage is 60%. The national passing percentage is 37.7% and the results were released online after three (3) working days.
CPU’s three successful new Agricultural and Biosystems Engineers are Engr. Joesan Marri T. Ferasol, Engr. Chiara Alexandra B. Gualin and Engr. Jayvee P. Tenefrancia.
The Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering Board Exam, given once a year only, covered topics from rural electrification, agricultural processing, agricultural structures and allied subjects (34%); soil and water resources development and conservation, irrigation, drainage and allied subjects (33%); agricultural mechanization, agricultural power, agricultural machinery and equipment and allied subjects (33%). Central Philippine University is the only school in Iloilo that offers Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Engineering, now renamed as Bachelor of Science in Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering starting last June 2018. The bachelor’s program maintains its status as the best performing school in Western Visayas.
