The Two Bronze Medalists from CPU during the Philippine National Chemistry Olympiad (PNCO) 2022.

Two Students from Central Philippine University were awarded Bronze Medalists from the recently concluded 21st Philippine National Chemistry Olympiad (PNCO), held last March 26, 2022, at 9:30 am via Zoom.

The two Centralians, Kyla Marie Joy D. Miguel and Jess Vincent Y. Ybut, were among the four Bronze Medalists students in Region 6. They were coached by Mr. Henry B. Caspe from the Senior High School Department.

The said competitions have both Regional and National levels. The objective of the PNCO competition as stated in their Advisory No.016, s. 2022 is to promote Chemistry at the secondary level and to provide a training ground and selection venue for the Philippine delegates to be able to represent the country at the International level.

This year’s PNCO is the 2nd Remote Access Exam conducted in the midst of the pandemic where the target participants must be Filipino citizens enrolled as high school in any part of the country at the time of PNCO 2022 competitions.

The awarding ceremony was hosted by Dr. Raymond Malabed- Chemistry Department, De La Salle University, and Ms. Jennifer Sy- College of Science, Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila.
