Marie Ira Layson is currently an instructor at St. Therese- MTC Colleges.

Hon. Marie Ira Layson, a 1st year CPU College of Law student and Brgy. Tina, Badiangan Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) Chairperson, was named as Grand Champion in the First National Search for Pure and Authentically Strong Modelong Kabataan ng Pilipinas (MKP) of Global Academy for Human Excellence last November 8, 2020.

Layson was chosen in the nationwide search for the most outstanding SK officials. For the overall ranking, she was ranked first in the education, sports, humanitarian, and online interview categories.

As SK Chairperson, Layson pioneered the “Leader as Reader” program in Barangay Tina. A campaign adapted from one of the reading advocacies of Save the Children.

Layson finished her BA in Political Science from the University of San Agustin in 2017 and her Masters in Social Science from West Visayas State University. She is currently an instructor at St. Therese-MTC Colleges.
