DOCTOR OF MANAGEMENT PROGRAM

School of Graduate Studies

The venture into graduate education, like all the other programs of CPU, was initiated in response to a national or community need.  Guided by the University’s motto “Scientia et Fides,” The School of Graduate Studies commits itself to the implementation of the University’s Quality Policy Statement, that is, to offer superior services by integrating Christian values, academic excellence, highest level of professionalism, and quality considerations in every aspect of its operations.

In pursuit for academic excellence, and with the leadership of Dr. Rowena M. Libo-on, Acting Dean, policies and programs for the betterment of the department have been conceptualized and implemented.  To better implement the program, Dr. Carmen N. Hernandez was appointed as the DM Program Coordinator.

One of programs offered is the Doctor of Management (DM) with the following areas of concentration:

  1. Business Management
  2. Public Management
  3. Development Management
  4. Tourism and Hospitality Management.

The Doctor of Management degree program seeks to enable managers and administrators in the private and public sector organization to cope with the problems created by the fast-changing and broadening environments of their organizations.  The DM degree program will provide practitioners with competencies and skills needed to survive the challenges of modern organizations.

The graduate programs on tourism and hospitality management will also prepare practicing managers and entrepreneurs who would adopt to further their career in the teaching profession.

Programs And Activities Towards Academic Excellence:

  3. conduct of research colloquium  as a venue for DM students to present and defend their researches;
  4. conduct of seminars and symposia where both local and international speakers were invited;
  5. inviting foreign professors to teach in the program;
  6. inviting outside experts for dissertation defense;
  7. conduct of seminars and conferences spearheaded by the students to hone their leadership and management skills;
  8. benchmarking activities are done  locally and internationally;
  9. participation of both professors and students in the community engagement program in the University’s adopted barangay;
  10. attendance to Christ Emphasis Week and other University and department activities.
