FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
I. What is the process of CPUCAT?
Answer:
- Pay the CPUCAT fee (non-refundable P450) through any of the following:
- CPU Business Office Window 15 or 16 except holidays, Saturdays, and Sundays. Use account number A456 (CPUCAT Fee) when paying.
- Online banking (see list of payment centers here: https://cpu.edu.ph/payment-options/. Please write in the purpose: CPUCAT Fee.
- Palawan Express Padala (Please write in the purpose: CPUCAT Fee. Use 16000490 for ID.)
- Fill out the CPUCAT online application form.
- Wait for an email confirmation from CPU.
- Take the CPUCAT on the scheduled date and time as confirmed by the email from CPU.
- Check for test results which will be released every after two (2) weeks from the date of test. Results will be released via email. If you have not received them, kindly check your spam folder or ensure your inbox is not full by deleting old emails. If you still haven’t received your results, email cpucatresults@cpu.edu.ph for assistance.

V. I will enroll for the second semester for SY 2025-2026, am I required to take the CPUCAT?
Answer: Yes, you are required to take the CPUCAT.
VI. I have taken the CPUCAT, but I did not enroll during the first semester, am I required to take the CPUCAT if I enroll for second semester?Answer:Â No, you are no longer required to take the CPUCAT since the result is valid for one school year. Kindly bring a copy of your result to your prospective college during enrollment.
VII. What are the requirements during online application and actual test?
Answer:
A. During online application

- Picture of School I.D., passport, PH National ID, or PhilHealth ID
B. During the test:
- School I.D., passport, PH National ID, or PhilHealth ID (The same ID which was uploaded when you filled out the CPUCAT application form)
- Hard copy of the official receipt
- Pencil No. 2 with an eraser
VIII. What is the coverage of CPUCAT?
Answer: The CPUCAT is designed to measure an individual’s aptitude across a range of cognitive abilities and skills.
IX. How long is the test?
Answer: 3 hours
X. Is there a reviewer for CPUCAT?
Answer: None.
XI. When and where will the test results be released?
Answer: Test results will be released every after two (2) weeks from the date of test. Results will be released via email. If you have not received them, kindly check your spam folder or ensure your inbox is not full by deleting old emails. XII. Is the CPUCAT a pass/fail assessment?
Answer: Â The CPUCAT results will NOT be categorized as ‘Pass’ or ‘Fail’; instead, they will display scores for each section of the test.
Each academic program/course has a specific scoring system used for program enrollment or application, where the score is based on certain criteria related to the program’s requirements.

It is essential to find a program where you can excel and thrive. If you need any assistance or advice on exploring programs, feel free to ask for help.
XIII. If I fail to take the test on my chosen schedule, may I reschedule?
Answer: Yes, if you fail to appear on your preferred schedule, you may reschedule only once.
To reschedule, you must:
- Accomplish a new application form, selecting the new preferred test date. In the Remarks section, indicate: “Rescheduled from [original preferred test date]”; or
- Edit the previous application form response to update the preferred test date. In the Remarks section, indicate: “Rescheduled from [original preferred test date].”
After compliance with either option, the applicant must send an email student-recruitment@cpu.edu.ph confirming the rescheduling request.
NOTE: Failure to appear on the rescheduled test date will result in the cancellation of CPUCAT application and in the forfeiture of the CPUCAT Fee.
XIV. Are there online exams available for individuals residing in Luzon and Mindanao?
Answer: Currently, there are no online exams offered. Applicants residing in the Philippines must take the CPUCAT either on-campus or during scheduled off-campus CPUCAT sessions in their respective provinces, if available.
XV. Are there online exams available for individuals residing outside the Philippines?
Answer: Yes, online CPUCAT is available for individuals residing abroad. For inquiries, please contact:

XVI. Can I enroll in an academic program different from what I indicated on my CPUCAT application form?
Answer: Â Yes, you are permitted to enroll in a different academic program, provided you meet the requirements for your chosen course of study. Kindly bring your CPUCAT results to the college of your choice.
