Calling all CPU Alumni!!!

 

THE CPU ALUMNI ASSOCIATION, INC. NOMINATION & ELECTION COMMITTEE IS NOW ACCEPTING NOMINATIONS FOR THE FOLLOWING POSITIONS IN THE ASSOCIATION, DURING THE GENERAL ELECTION ON SEPTEMBER 30, 2023.

1) Five (5) positions for the members of the Board of Trustees (at large) of the CPU AA for a term of three (3) years (2024-2026),

2.) Ten (10) positions for Alumni Nominees to the CPU Corporation, FIVE (5) of whom will be chosen by the members of the CPU Corporation as its Alumni Representative for a term of five (5) years (2024-2029), pursuant to the CPU, Inc. By-laws, to wit:

“To ensure the allotted representation of the sectors mentioned in Section 1, in any given election year, the Convention of Philippine Baptist Churches, Inc., the Central Philippine University Alumni Association, Inc., the Board of Trustees, and the International Ministries of the American Baptist Churches, U.S.A. shall nominate at least twice the number of membership positions to be elected. However, if the nominating bodies fail to comply with this requirement, the Corporation may nominate additional names to complete the required minimum number. Out of these nominations, the Corporation shall elect the required number corresponding to each sector.” (Art.1, Section 2, Amended CPU, Inc. By-laws)

Accordingly, only alumni of CPU can be nominated by any CPU Alumni or any CPU Alumni chapter for the above-stated positions. An alumni means that he/she has graduated from Central Philippine University, that he/she is a lifetime member of the CPUAAI, that he/she has manifested his/her loyalty, support, willingness, and conviction to the Alma Mater, and that he/she has kept inviolable the Central Spirit with honor and pride. The nominating party must officially write the CPU Alumni Office by mail or electronic-mail (cpuaai@cpu.edu.ph) to submit the names of the nominees along with the following:
