“A reminder to the GRADuates” – Seeds of Faith – April 23, 2018

Dear friends,
March and April are usually the months for graduation in the Philippines. On April 22 and 23, 2018 CPU held its 90th Commencement Exercises for the different colleges of the university.
Here is a reminder to the GRADuates and also to all of us:
G – God should be given first priority in your life. Your life will have no meaning unless God is first in your list. In every decision that you make, think of God first and God will surely guide you.
R – Remember your roots as you reach for your dreams. You are where you are right now because of the people around you — your parents, family, friends, teachers and significant others. If you forget them, then you will surely have an identity crisis. These people will keep you grounded as you reach for new heights.
A – Allow spaces for mistakes in your life. Learn lessons from your mistakes because it is a great teacher. Aiming for excellence does not mean that you will not make a mistake. Someone is excellent because he or she turned his or her mistakes into valuable reminders.
D – Do everything with passion and compassion. Be excited and pour out your energy to realize your goals. Do not be a sluggard. Be passionate in your work. But while doing so, do not forget to be kind to others. Give space also to the mistakes of others. Be kind, and find ways to always “do the extra mile” as Jesus commanded us.
Congratulations to our dear graduates! May God bless you!
